Enceladus - Small Porcelain vase
Regular price€199,00 Sale pricePickup currently unavailable
Enceladus is one of Saturn's moons. It has fascinated me for quite some time. It is covered by ice, underneath which there probably is a huge ocean of salty water. It also features many geysers along its South Pole. They spout gases and ice away from the moon.
This vase was inspired by the Cassini photos of Enceladus, taken in 2008. The lines of ice covering the moon have inspired me to glaze this small vase in a very different way I normally would, creating an interesting effect between the matte white glaze and the lava glaze.
The vase was coiled by hand and fired up to 1240C.
The vase is functional and measures 6,5cm in width at widest point and 9cm in height.
All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
Certificate of authenticity will be provided.
