Moonscape
An exploration of the lunar surface with hand-built vases, bowls and lava glazes.
The volcanic eruption, the rock that morphed due to water and wind, the ocean waves that carried it away, the retreating salt waters that revealed a sediment, the moving tectonic plates, the pressure and compression of rock formations, the rapid cooling of magma, the slow work of oxygen, millennia of changes big and small on our planet have made it possible for this collection of minerals to be combined and subjected to the same heat of the planet’s core, creating this lava glaze, whose look mirrors the very processes that lead to the creation of its components.
