Hexagon - Erbium glazed dangle earrings on gold filled wire

Hexagonal dangle earrings made by hand with porcelain and glazed with erbium glaze. Erbium is a rare earth metal. Its oxide is rarely used in ceramics because it is very expensive. However, it produces the most stunning pink: it's actually the only oxide which alone can produce pink. Erbium is among the heavy elements that arrived to Earth after escaping the collision between two neutron stars. We are all  made of stars and your earrings too. 

The wire on which the hexagon is suspended is made of hand cut and hand-formed 14k gold filled wire metal. 

You will receive a pair. The earring measures ca 3,5 cm in height including the attachment. The porcelain piece measures around 2cm in width.

Only one pair is available so you will receive the one in the photo. 

Porcelain is a very strong material but you should treat your pieces with care and make sure not to drop them or have them hit a hard surface. I also recommend not to shower with your jewellery.
