Hearts of erbium - made to order stud earrings with sterling silver

Porcelain heart stud earrings glazed with precious erbium glaze, set in sterling silver. The earring posts are also made of sterling silver.

Erbium is a rare earth metal. Its oxide is rarely used in ceramics because it is very expensive. However, it produces the most stunning pink: it's actually the only oxide which alone can produce pink. Erbium is among the heavy elements that arrived to Earth after escaping the collision between two neutron stars. We are all  made of stars and your earrings too. 

The porcelain is so light you may forget you are wearing them. 

The earring measures ca 1 cm in height and 1 cm in width at widest point. 

These earrings are made to order, so please allow for 7 working days before shipping. As each pair is made by hand, the ones you receive may vary slightly from the photos. 

Porcelain is a very strong material but you should treat your pieces with care and make sure not to drop them or have them hit a hard surface. I also recommend not to shower with your jewellery.
