Good luck charm - porcelain statement earring on gold filled wire (one earring)

Dangle earring made by hand with porcelain and glazed in my erbium pink glaze. A thin gold filled chain is carefully wrapped around a small indentation at the end of the piece. The chain will move in and out of the indentation as you move, creating movement and interest. This piece is inspired by Neapolitan good luck peperoncini charms (hot chilli peppers).

Erbium is a rare earth metal. Its oxide is rarely used in ceramics because it is very expensive. However, it produces the most stunning pink: it's actually the only oxide which alone can produce pink. Erbium is among the heavy elements that arrived to Earth after escaping the collision between two neutron stars. We are all  made of stars and your earrings too. 

The wire on which the piece is suspended is made of hand cut and hand-formed 14k gold filled wire metal. The chain is also made from 14k gold filled metal.

The earring measures ca 7 cm in length including the attachment. The porcelain piece measures around 0,5cm in width.

You will receive ONE earring. 

Only one is available so you will receive the one in the photo. 

Porcelain is a very strong material but you should treat your pieces with care and make sure not to drop them or have them hit a hard surface. I also recommend not to shower with your jewellery.
